Arrived midday Saturday disapointed to find next to no wind.
Decided to make things even harder for myself by going out for first time
on '00 Flow 276 purchased last summer - just couldn't wait any longer and
thought it would be worth it to help improve my balance.
Felt so narrow and sinky compared to Techno 283 - had to concentrate on
board balance all the time.
Eventually I got the hang of it and managed to sail back and forth a few
times but all moves felt much harder than normal.
On the few occasions the wind picked up I really struggled to get in/out of
the harness. Lines seemed much higher than normal. Waterstarted a few times
but even made this harder than it should have been by having a loose uphaul
that kept catching on the straps whilst positioning the sail in the water.
Also uphauled few times, eventually realising that you can't afford to hang
around on smaller boards coz they'll sink!
Wind picked up to 3-4 later but by this time I was realy knackered having
spent the past two hours out of the harness, holding on!
Didn't get in the straps once, missed most of the cup final but at least I
got out on that bloody board.....very close to my first one star rating!
Typically the conditions on the Sunday were perfect for the Flow - but had
other commitments.
